The Chair of the Year Goes to Prof. Jacek Rostowski

Who should receive the Chair of the Year award for 2009, a singular year overshadowed by huge global economic crisis? One by one, countries threatened with the collapse of their banking systems took emergency action to put out the fires, pumping in a stream of cash. This response became natural, normal, acceptable to the public and expected. Not in Poland, though.
