Dear Warsaw Voice,
I find this article on Ambassador Crawford amusing, How arrogant is the Ambassador, Charles Crawford of the UK?
"HMG have created more jobs for Poles in the past year than the Polish Government. Yet not one of you nor a single newspaper in any of your capitals has expressed a single word of gratitude or appreciation for the UK position in all this. So much for solidarity."
If the Ambassador truly believes that the UK opened it's market up out of some form of generosity, then he is either a fool or incompetent.
Poland is a source of cheap labor and nothing more. The United Kindom, like the United States operates on an exploit labor model, which is labor intensive. The United States does not take in million of "guest workers" as a act of kindness to Mexico.
The fact that the ambassador feels that some how Eastern Europe should some how be bowing in gratitude. Money given to the east is no gift, it is a form of investment in the future, Europe, and especially the UK needs new Markets, and Poland is nothing more then
an investment. All those Tescos popping up across the land, are not gifts from the Queen. Poles need to start thinking about things as business, and nothing more.
The ambassador needs to stop treating Eastern Europe
like a child.
