Home of Jazz
Going to a concert at Jazz Café is like inviting a jazz star home and serving them coffee. This cozy, atmospheric café in the £omianki suburb of Warsaw is becoming increasingly popular on the cultural map of the capital. It stands out from other similar venues because of the closeness between the artists and audience. Both musicians and patrons feel at home.
Jazz Café is known not only for its sophisticated music but also for the music connoisseurs who visit. Since it opened in 1998, Jazz Café has hosted the biggest jazz stars from Poland and abroad. Guests who have performed there include Anna Maria Jopek, Krzysztof ¦cierañski, Stanis³aw Sojka, Tomasz Stañko, sax players Zbigniew Namys³owski and Henryk Mi¶kiewicz, pianist Leszek Mo¿d¿er and violinist Micha³ Urbaniak. Also, international stars Hiram Bullock and Marc Thomas have given concerts in the café. Since 1999 Jazz Café has hosted concerts accompanying the Jazz Jamboree festival.
The modest but sophisticated Jazz Café menu includes French onion soup, and Camembert cheese baked in a pancake for dessert.
