Lewandowski: EU Assistance to Poland Not Endangered
May 17, 2010
Poland is likely to obtain 70 billion euros of EU subsidies for the period 2014-2020, the EU Commissioner for Budget Janusz Lewandowski said quoted by Puls Biznesu daily.
The crucial factor will be EU coherence policy, which accounted for 15% of the total subsidies for the previous period, Lewandowski said.
The negotiations will be more difficult than previously, but given there is no collapse in the euro-zone, Poland stands big chances of getting huge subsidies, the Commissioner added.
Poland will likely become EU net payer in the next period 2021-2027, Lewandowski added.
