Family Lunches
The AleGloria restaurant has launched a series of Sunday lunches called Dream Away on Sunday. Those who appreciate beautiful interiors and delicious cuisine by well-known restaurant owner Magda Gessler can spend every Sunday in a warm, family atmosphere.
Guests can try cold home-made starters such as juicy, tender roasts with aromatic marinades, sauces and pickles, or royal carp in golden aspic. Another attraction of the Sunday lunches is a special tartar "station," where guests can watch the chefs spice up steak tartar with cognac, capers, marinated mushrooms, quail eggs and other delicacies.
The menu always features three tureens of a selection of steaming soups, such as tomato-and-peppers soup with goat's cheese, delicious traditional tripe and home-made broth with noodles and chicken pieces. Main courses include delicate roast duck with apples, salmon with saffron sauce, cherry tomatoes and fried spinach, and traditional beef roulade with buckwheat and beetroot fried with pork scratchings. You can also get a large bowl of Polish pierogi.
The colorful dessert buffet offers vanilla apple pie, tender cheesecakes and much more. The lunch, complete with a glass of sparkling wine (white or red), costs zl.109.
For the youngest guests, Magda Gessler provides the Playroom in Malczewski's Studio, the only facility of its kind in Warsaw. Supervised by a qualified nanny, children can paint, listen to fairytales and play with building blocks. When they are tired of playing, they can take a break and try something from the children's menu-ham rolls, chicken sticks or mini burgers with fries.
