Poland’s Role in Afghanistan Might Change By End of 2012: FM Sikorski

We would like to withdraw our troops from Afghanistan by the end of 2012, and support the Afghans through training of their security forces and taking part in the country’s development projects, Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Radoslaw Sikorski said yesterday in Kabul.
Minister Sikorski, along with his counterparts from other countries engaged in fighting in Afghanistan, took part, yesterday, in a conference on the future and rebuilding of the country.
The conference focused on the agenda of the handover of control over security to an Afghani leadership.
The Polish head of diplomacy arrived in the country following his tour across Georgia, Armenia and Kazakhstan. On Monday he visited the Polish soldiers in Ghazni province.
