One in three large Polish companies conducting or planning projects finance capital expenditure independently rather than turning to banks, according to a report by Deloitte and a local business lobby.

"Almost 80% of large firms are planning or are conducting projects" for 2010-2011, the report said. "Almost one in three finance these using their own funds and over 56% of firms do not use and do not intend to benefit from loans for financing projects."

The findings are based on a survey by the TNS OBOP polling agency of 388 large private and state firms between April 14 and July 4.
