Poland’s Main International Airport Closed Due to Maintenance Works

Maintenance works at Warsaw airport are underway
Traffic at Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport will close again to large planes from late Friday to early Sunday over the next two weekends because of the renovation work on the runway intersection, which started September 3.
Workers are to fill in a depression at a junction where the airport's two runways cross. A shortened 1,300-meter runway will remain open for smaller aircraft holding up to 50 passengers.
Most flights are being routed through other Polish cities, including Lodz, Katowice and Gdansk.
