Café Karma

Café Karma on Warsaw's Zbawiciela Square is a café, small gallery and special atmosphere all in one. Separated from the big city bustle, the place is frequented by well-known Polish actors from the nearby Wspó³czesny, Rozmaito¶ci and Polonia theaters and other artists. You can pop in to have a cup of coffee or lunch, but you will best experience the magic of the place in the evening.
Café Karma has chairs and tables on the terrace and even on cold days fans of the place take a seat to sip a hot chocolate. Those new to Café Karma should try the coffee with honey and cinnamon.
Café Karma is simply one of the coolest cafés in town. It serves many kinds of regular, latte, cappuccino and espresso coffee (zl.5.5-11) with different syrups and delicious milkshakes (zl.9-11), sandwiches and salads. The menu consists of vegetarian dishes only.
Café Karma is open to people and the world. At the entrance, there is a board with news of the city's cultural life to which Café Karma adds its own contribution. Every few weeks, it holds openings of painting and photo exhibitions. Exhibitions shown so far include colorful paintings by South American artists and photos of America taken by Jacek Kadaj. You can buy a lot of the exhibited works on the spot.
The one-room interior of this small café is arranged in colonial style so there are no chromium-plated bar stools or halogen lamps. Instead, the café has a few sofas, wooden tables and chairs, and the place is cozy and neat. The café does not want to be one of the many franchises which are so popular in Warsaw.
Café Karma has wireless internet access and many customers use their laptops, somewhat at odds with the spirit of the place.
Café Karma, 3/5 Zbawiciela Sq., open Mon.-Fri. 7:30 a.m.-10 p.m., Sat. 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
