President Bronisław Komorowski
Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski signed legislation meant to fight designer drug traffic in Poland, having declared that his chancellery legal experts have declared that the bill does not infringe upon the constitutionally warranted freedom of economic activity.

The bill, subject of recent media and political hype, puts a total ban on designer drug production and trading, and grants sanitation authorities the right to examine all suspicious substances at the producer's cost.

It also allows sanitation personnel to close suspicious shops and plants, and impose fines of 20,000 to 1 million zlotys.
