Poland's central region of Mazowieckie will spend 1.86 billion zlotys on road construction this year, out of which over 1.5 billion zlotys will be spent by the region's four largest cities: Warsaw, Plock, Radom and Siedlce, the daily Rzeczpospolita writes citing data from local and regional authorities.

The capital city of Warsaw will be by far the most active investor this year, planning to spend 3.4 billion zlotys on various infrastructure investments, the daily writes.

The sum includes some 1.45 billion zlotys to be spent on the construction of second line of the Warsaw subway in 2011, the daily adds.
