Col. Ryszard Kukliński, sentenced to death in 1984 as an American spy, was exonerated earlier this month, the Warsaw Regional Military Prosecutor's Office announced Sept. 22.
Kukliński supplied information to the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency from 1972 to 1981, reporting strategic plans for Russian troops stationed in Warsaw Pact countries and scenarios for introducing martial law in Poland.
