Relief Printing
December 19, 2007 By M.H.
Article's tools:

The BWA Gallery of Contemporary Art in Olsztyn is staging an exhibition of works that have been entered for a relief print competition held every four years.

The Quadrennial of Polish Woodcuts and Linoleum Prints, which has been organized by Olsztyn's BWA Gallery since 1975, is the only such competition in the country.

This year's exhibition shows the 134 best works sent in by 63 artists for the competition. The exhibition also offers an insight into the latest advances in relief printing. It is an opportunity for both the artists and the audience to broaden their knowledge about woodcutting-the oldest printing technique.

Olsztyn, BWA Gallery, 38 Pi³sudskiego Ave., until Jan. 20.
