The American Chamber of Commerce in Poland (AmCham) has given out awards to leading American companies in Poland for the fifth time. An award ceremony took place Dec. 10 at the Le Royal Meridien Bristol Hotel, which sponsored the event.

Awards were presented by Kenneth Hillas, the charge d'affaires at the U.S. Embassy, and Roman Rewald, the AmCham president. The event was spiced up by a concert by American singer Isis Gee, who took part in the recent Polish edition of the Dancing With the Stars TV show.

The award winners were: AmCham Entrepreneur of the Year-VFP Communications; Excellence in Innovation-Delphi Poland; AmCham Investor of the Year-ProLogis.

Winning companies are those judged to have contributed to the economic growth of Poland by bringing in technology and know-how as well as creating new jobs. American companies associated in AmCham have invested over $15 billion in Poland so far.
