Warsaw's Salsa Libre dance studio is organizing a weekend with Cuban dances Jan. 18-20. The event will give dance enthusiasts an opportunity to learn various Cuban dance routines under the supervision of charismatic instructor Jorge Camaguey.

The workshops will feature dances such as cubaton/Cuban reggaeton, Afro-Cuban rumba, Cuban salsa, and a mixture of salsa and hip-hop. Alongside the workshops, two other events will take place, both featuring live music and dance performances by groups from across Poland.

The Salsa con Moņa Party, on Friday, Jan. 18, will focus on salsa combined with hip-hop, a dance that is also known as moņa in Cuba. The event will also include a reggaeton concert by Tony Junior Big, a Cuban artist who previously performed with bands such as Calle Sol and Impacto. Another attraction is a "reggaeton battle" comprising dance performances and a contest for best dance trio.

The Saturday event, Bomba Latina, will highlight the Afro-Cuban rumba with an improvised dance show by Camaguey.

Other dancers participating in both events will include Labios del Fuego, Poland's only international group of reggaeton instructors; and Fibe and Fota Step, a hip-hop group from Koszalin coached by Ania Jujka, a choreographer for the popular TV show You Can Dance.
