A grand gala concert devoted to the music of Johann Strauss will be held at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw on Jan. 13. The program includes a performance by the Strauss Ballet Ensemble, accompanied by the famous Strauss Festival Orchestra, which will perform music that was once played in the Viennese court of Austrian emperor Franz Josef in the 19th century.

There will performances of The Tales of the Vienna Forest and the Emperor Waltz. The rhythms of the waltz and polka will transform the Warsaw philharmonic hall for one night into the emperor's ballroom, which was famous across Europe for its grand balls.

There will also be performances of overtures from the operettas The Gypsy Baron and Die Fledermaus and the Vienna Blood and Morning Papers waltzes. The Radetzky March is planned for the grand finale.
