Polish bookstore chain Dom Ksi±¿ki is preparing to open its first "bookhousecafé," an outlet that will combine a bookstore with a café.

The first such outlet will open at 14 ¦wiêtokrzyska St. in Warsaw in early February. This will be a cultural spot providing young artists with opportunities to make their literary, music, painting and photo debuts, Dom Ksi±¿ki says. The café will serve various kinds of coffee as well as fresh sandwiches, pies and smoothies.

The outlet will host meetings with writers, music concerts, recitals, exhibitions and openings, and on Sunday mornings well-known actors will read fairy tales to children.

Dom Ksi±¿ki plans to launch a chain of "bookhousecafés" across the country.
