Electronics and Telecom B-day Bash

The National Electronics and Telecommunications Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 15th anniversary at the Royal Palace in Warsaw Jan. 29. The chamber began in 1992 as a trade organization for producers, importers and exporters, service providers and organizations researching electronic information processing and transfer.

Chamber chairman Stefan Kamiński opened the formalities. Deputy Economy Minister Adam Szejnfeld, Civic Platform (PO) deputy Antoni Mężydło, Polish Chamber of Commerce (KIG) chairman Andrzej Arendarski, and European Information, Communications and Consumer Electronics Technology Industry Associations (EICTA) Director-General Mark McGann all followed with speeches.

Next on the agenda was the presentation of honorary certificates to individuals deemed to have made outstanding contributions to the National Electronics and Telecommunications Chamber of Commerce. Twenty-six member companies received certificates in recognition of their contribution to Poland's electronics and telecommunications industry.

The main sponsor of the celebrations was Multimedia Polska. The others were Elzab, Jabil Assembly Poland, JP Morgan Chase, Mediatel, Netia, P4, NXP Semiconductors Poland, Philips Polska, TP EmiTel and TPV Displays Polska. The event was covered by TV Biznes, TVP Warsaw, The Warsaw Voice and Tygodnik Przegl±d.
