Investment fund Quercus Towarzystwo Funduszy Inwestycyjnych (Quercus TFI) is offering four special funds catering for wealthy investors.

Quercus TFI will be offering these funds, which utilize investment strategies not previously deployed in Poland, by the end of March through its Quercus Parasolowy SFIO fund. Quercus Ochrony Kapitału and Quercus Selektywny are absolute return funds that aim to achieve positive nominal rates of return. Quercus Agresywny and Quercus Bałkany i Turcja aim to maximize long-term returns.

Quercus TFI's products are also special in their precise market positioning. "The Polish investment fund market has reached a level of development that justifies the creation of products tailored to the needs of specific investor groups," says Quercus TFI chairman Sebastian Buczek. "Our products have been developed to meet the needs of wealthy and very wealthy investors-people who use private banking services." The offer is limited and the minimum payment into any of the funds is zl.20,000. Each fund will be closed to new payments once it has net assets of more than zl.1 billion.

"Our goal over the next 12 months is to sign cooperation agreements with all of Poland's leading private banking units and insurance companies catering for wealthy investors," adds Buczek. In what would be a first on the Polish capital market, Quercus is planning to open on New Connect within the next few months. The Financial Supervision Authority has only recently granted Quercus permission to commence operations.
