Unique Education and Business Center
March 5, 2008
Article's tools:

In recent times Gliwice has most often been identified with an investment boom, as a city of education and as a location where the A4 motorway cross will join the A1. However, shortly the city will be synonymous with the model conversion of post-industrial areas.

In the next two months the New Gliwice Education and Business Center will be opened on the site of the old Gliwice coal mine. The undertaking includes the establishment of a regional business academy and a system to support small and medium-sized enterprises, which involves providing space for the education center, offices and land for other business activity. The center is located close to the center of Gliwice, in the vicinity of the So¶nica junction of A4 nad A1 motorways, now under construction. With the support of EU funds, the center will be housed in three early 20th-century buildings and a modern office block.

The enterprise zone is located on 10 plots of land, each with an area of 4,900 to 7,900 sq m, with water and sewerage facilities, and access to electricity and telephone networks. The plots are separated by access roads. New Gliwice site from the north is accesible Kopalniana St., and from the south via Bojkowska St.

The complex includes office space ranging from 30 to 100 sq m and has a telephone network and a separate power network. There is also an open-space area of 400 sq m. Depending on the location, some of the higher quality facilities have air-conditioning. The building has 24-hour security with allocated entry zones. The whole area for lease (offices, warehouses and production areas) exceeds 4,300 sq m. The complex has its own parking lot for 600 vehicles, of more than 14,000 sq m in area.
