Article's tools:

Panasonic Polska Sp. z o.o. will take over all Panasonic business operations in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia from the beginning of April.

The company made a net profit of zl.4.7 million on sales of zl.663 million in Poland during the 2006/2007 financial year. Expansion into the Baltic states is expected to increase revenue by around 30 percent. Until now, Panasonic operations in the Baltic states have been run by Panasonic Eastern Europe GmbH, based in Vienna. The structural change is aimed at shifting business resources closer to the fast-growing Baltic markets. "This is a great honor for us and an expression of appreciation of the work we have carried out in recent years in Poland," said Panasonic Polska chairman Kazimierz Monkiewicz. "We are facing a big challenge since we are entering markets with a completely different structure."
