The Lazarski School of Commerce and Law, one of the top private colleges in Poland, and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in the United States jointly announced early March the launch of a new English-language MBA program.

They say it is the only course in Poland to provide students with a full semester of studies in the United States. American lecturers will deliver most of the courses. The program is one of four in Poland to be accredited by the prestigious U.S. agency, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The curriculum consists of 22 subjects and nearly 1,000 hours of studies. It is divided into two parts, both of which encompass one summer school and two semesters.

Studies begin in mid-June. Students are to go to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in the 2009 fall semester, where they will learn about management in a changing technological environment. They will also study social and environmental management, research methodology and decision-making in complex settings. Graduates will receive two diplomas, the Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin, and a master's degree from the Lazarski School.
