Honey Sweetens Life
March 12, 2008 By A.R.
Article's tools:

The Polish Beekeepers Association has just launched its nationwide campaign Honey Sweetens Life to boost honey consumption in Poland.

This is in line with the EU's policy of providing promotional and informational support for selected agricultural products. The campaign will cost around 700,000 euros of which the EU is providing half and the Polish government 30 percent. A consortium of producers is coming up with the remaining 20 percent.

Honey Sweetens Life also aims to break down the seasonality of honey consumption in Poland. At present, consumption peaks in autumn and winter. The promotional part of the campaign will be focusing on honey's taste and nutritional value. The informational component will outline honey's long history, list its current uses, explain its many varieties, and point up the EU's high standards of production.

Honey Sweetens Life will run until September 2009.
