The Beethoven Easter Festival in Warsaw is in progress. Music lovers will have the chance to listen to symphonic concerts by the famed Lahti Symphony Orchestra, which will perform compositions by Sibelius, Kokkonen and Beethoven March 14-15. Acclaimed Finnish violinist Pekka Kuusisto will accompany the orchestra on stage. Radio-Symphonic-Orchester Berlin under Marek Janowski will play Mahler and Bruckner.

Cello enthusiasts cannot miss a concert by this year’s Grammy-nominated Argentinean soloist Sol Gabetta. Alongside Beethoven’s acclaimed oratorios and symphonies, the program includes the three-act comédie-héroïque Lodoïska by Luigi Cherubini, staged for the first time after a 200-year hiatus, as well as the Veneziana symphony in D major by Mozart’s renowned rival, Antonio Salieri.
