Chris Botti, one of the best contemporary jazz trumpeters, performed at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw March 4.

Botti, accompanied by a top notch band, delighted the Warsaw audience with his technical virtuosity and musical sensitivity. The audience was treated to the mellow, slightly hoarse strains of Botti's trumpet for two hours. Botti made no secret of his influences. It was patently obvious that his role model is the legendary Miles Davis. Botti delivered a superb rendition of subtle, traditional jazz.

The Warsaw Voice was a media patron of the event.
