The soloists, choir, ballet and orchestra of the £ód¼ Music Theater are coming to Warsaw to perform in two different venues in early April.

First, the £ód¼ performers will stage Franz Lehár's Das Land des Lächelns (The Land of Smiles)-one of the composer's two most famous operettas, alongside Die lustige Witwe (The Merry Widow)-at the Roma Theater April 7. Then they will perform Johann Strauss II's Der Zigeunerbaron (The Gypsy Baron) at the Kongresowa Hall April 12.

The Land of Smiles is famous around the world for its aria You Are My Heart's Delight. The libretto is a romantic story with a bittersweet ending about love between a Viennese girl and a Chinese prince set in Vienna and Beijing in 1912.

The Gypsy Baron is one of the most popular and admired works by Strauss. It tells the story of a beautiful Gypsy girl named Saffi and her love for Hungarian landowner Barinkay, with many beautiful tunes and picturesque scenery.
