Polish pianist, vocalist and composer Grzegorz Turnau will perform at the Roma Theater in Warsaw April 14.

His music evokes smooth jazz and a genre known in Poland as sung poetry. He will be accompanied by Andrzej Sikorowski. Both artists have been linked to Cracow for years and will perform songs describing the fairy-tale-like world of the city's Old Town streets and alleyways.

Turnau's music also refers to the works of the late Polish chanson icon Marek Grechuta and composer Jan Kanty Pawlu¶kiewicz. Sikorowski wrote most of the songs of the once popular Polish pop group Pod Bud±.
