In a ceremony at Warsaw's Sofitel Victoria Hotel March 29, the French Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Poland (CCIFP) gave out awards to the winners of its first Grand Prix CCIFP competition. The event was open to Polish, French and international companies affiliated in the CCIFP, regardless of their size and business sector.

The CCIFP awards were handed out in three categories, "Best Performance," "Innovative Human Resources Management" and "Sustained Development." The jury included CCIFP Chairman Francois Colombié, who headed the panel of judges; Kazimierz Krupa, editor-in-chief of the Polish edition of Forbes magazine; Edouard Sicat, head of mission at the French embassy in Warsaw; Ludwik Sobolewski, president of the Warsaw Stock Exchange; and Magdalena Tran-Van, general manager of the CCIFP.

The "Best Performance" statuette went to Grégoire Nitot, CEO of SII Sp. z o.o., a company that provides advice on advanced technology and innovation. In the "Innovative Human Resources Management" category the winner was Alstom Power Sp. z o.o.; HR Director Janusz Lewandowski collected the award on behalf of the company. Alstom Power designs, builds and modernizes power generation facilities. It also offers comprehensive services for the energy sector. The award in the "Sustained Development" category went to the Zower company, represented by CEO Artur Danecki. Zower's core business is in coal recycling.

The awards ceremony was graced by a retrospective of major 2007/2008 business events prepared and hosted by TV Biznes journalist Krzysztof Turowski, Forbes' Krupa, and Micha³ Kobosko, editor-in-chief of Newsweek Polska.
