Listed geoinformation technology provider Techmex challenged its business partners and friends to compete in the 12th Techmex CEO Cup Skiing Competition that took place April 5 on the Kasprowy Wierch peak in Zakopane, a winter resort in southern Poland.

The event attracted 80 or so skiers from Techmex and other companies. They competed on a difficult giant slalom course, and Techmex's Maciej Stanisławski won the event for the second time, ahead of Maciej Karpęcki of the Ascomp company. After the competition, the skiers got together for a highlander-style feast.

The event gave Techmex staff an opportunity to recharge their batteries as they strive to steer the company through an increasingly competitive market. "Skiing is a good way to motivate one's employees and business partners," says company CEO Jacek Studencki, who started the competition years ago. "The combination of a sporting spirit and business expertise is one of the reasons why Techmex is doing well on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and continues to grow despite turbulence at home and abroad."
