José González lives and makes music in Sweden, but Argentinian blood runs in his veins. He plays the guitar, sings and writes songs. Music critics compare his style to that of Simon & Garfunkel. He will perform at Warsaw's Palladium club April 24.

González's debut album Veneer sold almost a million copies and went platinum in Switzerland and Britain. González has received numerous awards such as a Swedish music award for best newcomer in 2004.

His single Crosses was used in American TV series The O.C., and his cover Heartbeats, originally performed by The Knife, appeared in the Sony Bravia commercial-serving as background music to thousands of rubber balls bouncing along the streets of San Francisco.

April 24, Palladium, 7/9 Złota St., 8 p.m.
Admission: zl.90, zl.120
