ECI Telecom, an Israeli supplier of telecommunications network infrastructure, has chosen Poland as the location for its key office in the region and plans further expansion in Eastern Europe.

The newly established subsidiary, ECI Telecom Polska Sp. z o.o., will be ECI's key site in Central and Eastern Europe. "Poland is one of the fastest developing European markets for digital services and increasingly modern telecommunications services," said Joop van Aard, General Manager ECI EMEA. "Over the past several years, the Polish telecommunications market has been growing at an average rate of 12 percent annually. We think the rapid expansion of the sector will continue. With such boosts to the economy as the Euro 2012 soccer championships, we believe investment in Poland's network infrastructure will be growing fast. As a result, demand for flexible and innovative solutions for turnkey projects is bound to increase."

ECI Telecom is a leading supplier of infrastructure for networks used by operators and service providers around the world. ECI's hardware is used by network businesses of any size as a platform supporting applications such as voice, video and wireless services.
