Poland's largest auditing firm, Poznań-based HLB Frąckowiak i Wspólnicy, has opened branches in Gdańsk and Wrocław and expanded its long-running Warsaw operations by opening a taxation consultancy there.

"Gdańsk and Wrocław are two of Poland's fastest growing cities and we want to be where the economic action is," says vice chairman Tomasz Wróblewski. "Apart from that, we need to maintain better contacts with our growing client base in those cities," he added. Frąckowiak i Partnerzy Wielkopolska Grupa Audytingowa was established in April 1992 as the second company of the W. Frąckowiak i Partnerzy group of consulting firms. The company accepted an invitation to represent international auditing firm HLB International in Poland in 2000. The company has been trading as HLB Frąckowiak i Wspólnicy Sp. z o.o. since November. They act for 700 businesses of which 20 percent are listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and half have foreign capital.
