Over 600 human resource professionals, managers of both Polish and foreign companies, and HR experts attended the seventh Personnel Congress held in Warsaw April 14-16. This year's congress, organized by the Management Observatory and online business service Nowoczesna Firma, was billed as "The Image of Your Company: The Role of HR in Promoting the Image of a Desirable Employer." The key objective of the congress was to find an answer to issues centered on the corporate image, for example, whether the current situation on the job market increases the importance of such an image. Another topic on the agenda was the key to success in recruiting and retaining the best personnel with the aid of a corporate image.

Special guests at the congress included Judith Leary-Joyce, a British specialist in management and leadership, Dane Palle Ellemann Knudsen, managing director of the Great Place to Work Institute, and John Scherer, a U.S. expert on leadership and personal development.
