Warsaw's Wielki Theater is staging a premiere of the ballet Pan Twardowski to a libretto by Ludomir Różycki April 27. The event is part of International Dance Day in Poland, and will close the Faust Myth in Music and Theater festival.

Różycki's Pan Twardowski-which tells the tale of a Polish nobleman who, as legend has it, sold his soul to the devil-is a show famous for its panache. It's a performance incorporating theater, music, painting, dance and drama with folk tale motifs in the background.
