The Blue Springs natural reserve lies within the Tomaszów Mazowiecki city limits. It contains one of the most beautiful natural phenomena in the Polish lowlands-several springs that carry intensely blue water from underground limestone deposits and do not freeze in the winter.

Next to the Blue Springs park is the Pilica River open-air museum, Poland's first such facility devoted to a river. The museum stages reenactments of important historical events that took place on the Pilica. In 2005 the museum received a certificate from the Polish Tourist Organization for the best tourist "product" of year. A visit to the museum can take anywhere from one hour to all day.

Open Tue.-Sun., 9/11 A. Frycza-Modrzewskiego St., Tomaszów Mazowiecki, tel./fax +48 44 723-00-03
