Integral Art and Poetry
May 14, 2008
Article's tools:

Integral Art is the title of a new art-and-poetry exhibition by Marta Gogłuska, an outstanding Polish painter and poet. The exhibition will be accompanied by a recital of poems by Gogłuska and the presentation of a new interdisciplinary approach called integral art.

"Integral art is an open and collective dialogue about beauty in different genres," Gogłuska said. "It covers the entire history of art until contemporary times."

In her works, Gogłuska exclusively uses paper and ink. Her paintings mostly employ calm colors. Gogłuska portrays people "in the spiritual and material dimension from the beginning of time." A member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers (ZPAP), Gogłuska has shown her works at numerous collective and individual exhibitions at venues such as Wilanów Palace, the U.S. embassy and the Aktyn Business Center. Her pictures grace many private collections in Poland and abroad. Gogłuska has received prizes at international poetry competitions in New Zealand, France and Italy. She has had her poems translated into English and printed.

The opening of the exhibition will take place at the ZPAP Art Salon, 11a Mazowiecka St., in Warsaw. The exhibition will be on display from May 20 to June 8.
