The 5th Planet Doc Review documentary film festival is being held in Warsaw until May 18. The festival will show some of the best productions made in the last two years, including the winner of this year's Cesar award for best French documentary, Terror's Advocate, directed by Barbet Schroeder. The first screening of a Polish film by Piotr Stasik that depicts director Andrzej Wajda's work during the filming of the much-talked-about movie Katyń will be a big feature of the festival.

Several dozen films will be shown as part of this year's Planet Doc Review, in the following sections: Brave New World, Fetishes and Culture, Political Sciences, Intimate Stories, Back in the USSR, Art Doc, James Bond's Gadgets, Hero of Our Times, and 1968-40 Years Later. There will also be two retrospectives-dedicated to Danish filmmaker Jorgen Leth and Russian director Sergei Dvortsevoy.

The festival will close with a concert by Swiss musician Christian Zehnder with his project Stimmhorn, known from the film Heimatklaenge, at the Dramatyczny Theater May 18.

Until May 18, Kinoteka, 1 Defilad Sq.
