Polish jazz singer Ewa Bem will perform at Warsaw's Hybrydy club May 28 as part of the venue's Hybryda Poetica concert series.

Bem entered the local music scene in 1969 as a member of a young blues band. A year later she embarked on a solo career as a vocalist in the Zbigniew Seifert quartet.

Over the years, Bem has collaborated with top Polish jazz musicians such as Andrzej Jagodziński, Henryk Miśkiewicz, Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski, Zbigniew Wegehaupt and Kazimierz Jonkisz. She has also played with leading Polish jazz bands, including the Kukla Band and the Maciej Pawłowski Jazz Orchestra. She recorded with guitarist Jan Borysewicz and opera singer Małgorzata Walewska. Apart from concerts in Poland, Bem has often performed abroad-in countries such as Cuba, India and the United States.

May 28, 7 p.m., Hybrydy, 7/9 Złota St.
