Golden Pixel for "n"
The "n" high-definition digital television service has for the second time in a row won the Golden Pixel award for best digital platform.

The Golden Pixel, Poland's only poll in which users can vote for what they consider the best audio and video products and brands, was organized by the hdtv.com.pl website.

The ITI Group's "n" television service is the first in Poland and in the region that provides users with features such as HD (high definition) programs, recording of selected program items and a library of films and programs on request.

Superbrands for TVN Group
Four brands belonging to the TVN Group have been named international "Superbrands." The Superbrands 2008 are TVN, TVN Style and Onet as the strongest brands on the Polish market, while the Business Superbrands for strong brands enjoying outstanding audience recognition in the B2B sector goes to TVN24. The reputation of individual brands is examined by the Brand Council, composed of marketing, advertising and branding experts. Superbrands statuettes are presented to brands that have achieved a particularly strong position in their sector.

The Superbrands organization, established in the mid-1990s in London, is present in more than 80 countries today, promoting successful brands that keep building their market position. The Polish Superbrands features three categories: Superbrands, CoolBrands and Business Superbrands.

The TVN Group is Poland's leading private media group with 14 television channels on the air.

Discovery Wins
Discovery has won the Trusted Brands 2008 award in the television station category for the fourth time in a row. Discovery has also won the Crystal Statuette and the Trusted Brand Crystal Emblem 2008 for the brand with the highest audience recognition. It also scored best on a 1-5 scale in four categories taking into account quality, value for money, strong image and awareness of audience requirements, with a total of 18.27 out of a maximum 20 points. The survey has been organized for eight years in 16 European countries.

Discovery Networks also won the Media Trendy (Media Trends) 2008 first prize for self-promotion and media promotion for Discovery Channel's "Everest: Beyond the Limit" campaign. The key element of the campaign was a genuine mountain base camp built on a 10-meter structure in central Warsaw. Two amateur mountain climbers lived in the camp for two weeks, their efforts being observed by city residents passing by on their way to and from work as well as on the internet. An advertising campaign was also launched in newspapers, on the radio, the internet, outdoor media and cinemas, together with a comprehensive public relations campaign from February-May 2007.

The Discovery Networks portfolio includes seven television channels in Poland.
