Article's tools:

The Sage company launched a Polish-language version of its ACT! software in Warsaw May 14.

The ACT! customer relationship management (CRM) system will be available in two versions in Poland: for individual workstations and a version to facilitate work in groups. Both versions are compatible with office applications and integrated business solutions from other producers. Data stored and processed by the system can be shared with other popular office applications, such as Microsoft Office and IBM Lotus. The data can also be shared through mobile platforms such as BlackBerry and Windows Mobile.

According to Sage, ACT! is the world's most popular CRM software, used by over 43,000 companies and 2.8 million users around the globe. The system, first introduced over two decades ago, is mainly designed for small and medium-sized companies. Since 2004, the software has worked on the .Net platform and employed the Microsoft SQL Server database system.

The Polish launch of ACT! was also an opportunity to present the financial results of the Sage Symfonia company in the first half of this year. The Warsaw-based company, established exactly three years ago, is part of the international Sage Group. Between Oct. 1, 2007, and March 31 this year, Sage Symfonia reported revenues at zl.32 million, a rise by 39.7 percent compared with the same period last year. Operating profit approached zl.9 million and Sage Symfonia gained around 5,000 new customers.
