The area in front of the Belgian embassy on Warsaw's Senatorska Street will be decked out with a 400-square-meter carpet of flowers at the end of August.

The project, which will comprise spectacular, colorful decorative patterns and motifs, is the idea of the Belgian embassy and the Flemish representative office, in cooperation with the Warsaw city authorities.

Ahead of laying down the carpet, the AVBS Flemish begonia growers trade union donated 5,000 begonia bulbs for planting in front of the Museum of Independence at 62 Solidarności Ave.

Find out more about the flower carpet project, whose patron is Warsaw Mayor Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, in the next issue of The Warsaw Voice.
