Warsaw's Salon Sztuki 49 gallery is staging an exhibition of works by Ewa Miazek until the end of May. The artist's works in recent years are a record of her impressions from her travels. India, which Miazek visited three times, is special to her in her search for new inspiration and inner transformation.

The paintings in the exhibition document a variety of scenery and situations, for example the bay in Bombay (Mumbai) and boats on the sea. Barges, which have fascinated Miazek since childhood, are favorite subjects of the works on show. Bridges with their nooks and crannies also intrigue her. They represent a symbiosis between modern civilization and nature.

Miazek is a graduate of the Painting Department at the Fine Arts Academy in Warsaw. She has held several dozen individual exhibitions and taken part in many collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad.

Through May 31, Salon Sztuki 49, 49 Jana Pawła II Ave.
