The Museum of Sports and Tourism in Warsaw is showing an exhibition from the Olympic Triptych series inspired by the emotions linked with sports. The exhibition includes historical Olympic emblems and pictograms, from the 8th Olympics in Paris to the upcoming 29th Olympics in Beijing.

The idea for the exhibition came from Janusz Golik, a graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts who studied under outstanding professors including Leon Michalski, Eugeniusz Markowski, Teresa P±gowska, Maciej Urbaniec, and Henryk Tomaszewski. In 1978 Golik received a diploma with a distinction in the studio of Tomaszewski, a famous Polish poster artist. Golik runs an applied graphics studio and an art gallery called Van Golik. He specializes in designing posters, calendars and logos. He has taken part in numerous collective exhibitions at home and abroad.

Museum of Sports and Tourism, Olympic Center, 4 Wybrzeże Gdyńskie St., through June 29.
