Something's Cooking at Rialto

Paweł Suchenek has replaced renowned Swiss chef Kurt Scheller at Warsaw's Rialto restaurant and is already making his mark with a brand new menu. The 29-year-old has worked for the past nine years in Marriott hotels in Brussels, Switzerland, Armenia and England.

The Rialto now offers three-course business lunches for a fixed price of zl.98 and guarantees that no customer will wait more than 45 minutes. There is also a new tasting menu comprising six dishes for zl.150. Connoisseurs prepared to pay zl.240 may wish to try the wines recommended for each dish. The restaurant opens at 6:30 a.m. when it starts serving its exclusive breakfast.

"We'll be changing the main menu every three months to fit the season," says Suchenek. "But there'll be a new business lunch and tasting menu every week." Suchenek's specialty is baked duck breast, apple tart, honey and beetroot puree and żubrówka sauce (zl.60).
