Film Festival Takes to the Road
June 25, 2008
Article's tools:

The Center for Contemporary Art (CSW) in Warsaw will hold its sixth annual "Traveling Kino.Lato" festival in the Ujazdowski Castle courtyard July 4. The outdoor film festival is organized by the CSW's Kino Lab. This year's festival will feature road movies, including films about modes of transport as varied as cars, motorbikes, lawnmowers and wheelchairs.

Apart from classics such as Dennis Hopper's Easy Rider (1969) and Michelangelo Antonioni's Zabriskie Point (1970), the festival will screen more recent films that also embody the mythology of the road. These include David Lynch's Wild At Heart (1990), Oliver Stone's Natural Born Killers (1994), and Benoit Delepine's Aaltra (2005).

During the summer, films are shown every weekend at the Ujazdowski Castle after sunset.
