The 8th Musical Gardens festival will be held in the Royal Castle courtyard in Warsaw from July 1. This year's festival focuses on France. It will feature works by well-known French composers such as Rameau, Massenet, Bizet and Offenbach, and choreographers Petit, Bejart and Preljocaj. Audiences will also learn about artists such as Edith Piaf, Josephine Baker, Natalie Dessay, and Maurice Bejart.

As every year, there will be events for the youngest music lovers. Over four Thursdays in July (10, 17, 24, 31) children will see a film version of the opera Children and Magic by Maurice Ravel performed by Opera de Lyon. After the film they will be able to take part in choir workshops run by the conductor of the Warsaw University Choir, Irina Bogdanovich. More information about the festival is available at www.ogrodymuz.pl
