Eighty-five golfers and more than 1,600 visitors turned out for the fifth A&A Diamond tournament near £ód¼, one of the biggest golf and networking events in the country.

The Polish Golfers Championship '08 heats were played out on the first day of the event, held on the first weekend of June at the Wola B³êdowa links.

On the Sunday, 60 players took part in the competition. The winner, who received a statuette with a diamond, was Wojtek ¦winarski. The best woman golf player proved to be El¿bieta Wolschendorf-£azowska. The junior category was won by Oskar Ka¼mierczak.

However, the most alluring prize-a diamond necklace from the Princess series, handmade by the A&A Jeweler's House in £ód¼-went unclaimed. The necklace was the prize in a hole-in-one competition.

The nearest-to-the-pin competition was won by Adam Kowalczewski. The winner of the longest drive competition was Marek Pisarski, and Wolschendorf-£azowska was first among the women players.

All tournament winners received a statuette with a diamond. And for those for whom the pleasures of playing golf were a mystery, the organizers prepared a special BMW Academy of Golf.
