A venue known as the Wyspiański 2000 Pavilion on the corner of Grodzka Street and Wszystkich ¦więtych Square in Cracow is hosting Art Deco Etudes, an exhibition of works by Danuta D±browska-Siemaszkiewicz.

The exhibition comprises more than a dozen large visual compositions inspired by the Art Deco style of the 1920s and '30s. The works, which include portraits of women, urban scenes and pictures of cars, are characterized by bright and lively colors and neoclassical geometrical forms.

A painter, graphic artist and designer, D±browska-Siemaszkiewicz is a graduate of the graphics department of the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts. She has had her work published in Polish magazines such as Przekrój, Newsweek Polska, Magazyn Rzeczpospolitej and Marie Claire as well as the American weekly The New Yorker. A cover she designed for The New Yorker made it into an exclusive coffee-table book entitled Covering The New Yorker and published to mark the magazine's 75 years on the market.
