British multi-instrumentalist John Mayall will appear in concert in Warsaw July 15. Mayall is a pioneer of rock music and was one of the first artists to combine rock and blues music.

Mayall has been continuously recording albums since 1965. He was regarded as an elder statesman of rock music at the height of his career due to the fact that he was on average 10 years older than Britain's first generation of rock'n'roll musicians. Among the many blues musicians who influenced Mayall at the beginning of his career was one to whom he is particularly indebted and for whom he holds huge regard-Freddie King. That Texan guitar player, vocalist and composer was one of the biggest blues stars of the late 1950s and '60s.

After 40 years, Mayall has returned to King's music.
