In August, visitors to Warsaw's New Town area will be able to attend music concerts as part of an event known as the New Town Summer Festival. The concerts, featuring both vocal and instrumental music under the slogan "Music and History," will be taking place on Sundays throughout August, except for Aug. 17, at four churches in the New Town.

Some of the most notable compositions will include Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto in D Major-Del Gardellino, performed by Essentia Musica and conducted by Tytus Wojnowicz; Franz Schubert's Death and the Maiden, performed by the Camerata Quartet; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Exsultate, jubilate, performed by Marta Boberska; and the Third Violin Concerto in A Major by Feliks Janiewicz, performed by Zbigniew Pilch, with the accompaniment of the New Chamber Orchestra conducted by Paweł Kos-Nowicki.

Andrzej Kochanowski, a respected Warsaw tour guide, will enlighten audiences about the history of the churches hosting the concerts.

The event is organized by the New Chamber Orchestra Foundation. The Voice is a media patron of the festival.
